David Payne
Lay Reader

As a Lay Reader, I help with leading worship services at Tidebrook Church, with Betty, my wife, often illustrating the themes and seasons with her imaginative artwork. For the first 15 years of our marriage, we served with the church in Kenya coordinating community development and creation care projects. Since then I’ve worked with Hospice in the Weald and A Rocha International.

Pastoral Assistant for Families, Children and Youth

Hi! As the children, families and youth worker here, I work with all ages from tinies to teens  and their families with the help of a fab team of volunteers. (more needed too!)

We run regular activities during the term, as well as some in the hols too.  I hope that whether  you have always lived here, or whether you were new to the area, that you would find us warm and welcoming!

Administrator

If you call (01892 782141) or email the church office, or use the Contact Us button on this website, you'll get through to Jemma. She'll be able to answer most of your questions, and put you in touch with whoever else you need to speak to.

Rev Dr Paul Ratcliff
Vicar

I am a former space scientist and a 'lapsed atheist'.

Having come to faith relatively late in life my passion is to help others come to know the Lord.

Rev Andrew Goy
Associate Vicar

Having grown up in West Kent and worked in Tunbridge Wells for several years, I may have crossed the border into Sussex but this part of the world still feels home to me.

I love being outside in creation and exploring the local area, so you're likely to encounter me wandering in the Weald or touring nearby castles, houses and maybe even the odd church or two!

I enjoy the great outdoors and look after a farm in Wadhurst where I have been lucky enough to live for most of my life. I also love sailing and walking.

David Barker
Churchwarden

I have lived in Tidebrook for over twenty years now.  I practiced as a solicitor in London and since retiring have taken up golf again, with mixed results. I am keen to help ensure the Church continues to be an integral part of the Tidebrook community.

Safeguarding Officer

Having enjoyed a successful career in London working at Barclays International and Deloitte I made a decision to leave the City to help raise my young family. It was after great personal loss and sadness that I truly felt that I needed to and could put my trust in the Lord and experience his Peace, Mercy and Love. My deepest longing is for others to come to know Jesus Christ as their beloved friend and Saviour.

I grew up in East Sussex and have lived in Stonegate for over 30 years.
